Ceci est la couleur de mes rêves

What we are is God's gift to us. What we become is our gift to God. - Eleanor Powell

My two closest girlfriends and I have decided on taking a crazy roadtrip through the States (hopefully) this summer- WOOT. We’ve tried (not really) to plan one before, but the plans fell through due to lack of motivation, conviction, and funds. HOWEVER, this time I think we’re a go (=

Here’s a rough map of where we’ll be going: We’ll be heading down to NYC/NJ, then we’ll be heading down to Texas where we’re meeting up with another one of my closest girlfriends (who moved back to her home in Texas last year), then we’ll be heading up to California and hitting up the beaches and awesome weather there, and finally we’ll be heading back to Toronto- or as we Torontonians like to say “Trono”.

sidebar/fun fact: it’s really weird to have your accent pointed out to you. You don’t realize you have a Canadian accent let alone an accent at all. Apparently people outside of Toronto pronounce it consonant by consonant like Toe-ron-toe whereas us Torontonians slur it to sound like “Trono”.

Apologies, I digress. We’re working on some crucial things needed to make this trip happen (i.e., we need driver’s licenses and a car would be nice). If that doesn’t happen by July, which is when we’re planning on leaving, we’re thinking of enlargening our Global Footprint by taking planes to each of our destinations. Sucks, eh?

Another thing is that we’ve decided that we each need to save aboot about three grand for the entire trip. Yikes. I can’t even fathom having that much in my account. For someone who is used to seeing numbers in the single digits when looking at her bank statement, just thinking about seeing numbers with four digits makes my head reel in disbelief that I could possibly hold that much money at once.

All in all, I’m HELLA stoked for this trip with just my girls and I’m praying that this trip works out, because if it does, I have a feeling it will be an unforgettable one!
